This article is intended to explain how LA GATOR schools can report five (5) or more unexcused student absences and enrollment changes.
The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) requires all nonpublic schools with GATOR participants to report the following students:
- Students with five (5) or more absences within one semester
- Students who have withdrawn from the school (drops)
- Students who have never attended school (no-shows)
To report these students, you must complete this form and include the following information:
- Student's first name and last name
- Student's enrollment ID
- Parent's email
If applicable, please provide:
- Number of unexcused absences within the semester
- Name of the new school (if transferred)
- Type of new school (for example: public school, charter school, nonpublic school, homeschool)
- Whether the student has relocated out of Louisiana
How to complete the form:
- Begin filling out the [LA GATOR: Report Unexcused Absences & Enrollment Changes] form here.
- Log in to your Odyssey School Account.
- Search for the student you're interested in.
- Copy the student name, enrollment ID, and parent email by clicking on the paper icon next to each.
- You can also access this information by clicking [Download Students CSV].
- Once you have the CSV, search for and copy the enrollment ID, parent email, and student name.
- You can also access this information by clicking [Download Students CSV].
- Paste the student's information in the description of the support ticket, along with the information regarding their situation.
- If you have more than one student, please provide a list with all students in the ticket. The list may be in the description, or in an attached Word Document or Google/Excel sheet.

- Click [Submit] so our team can receive the request and investigate the students.
