This article is for LA GATOR families to understand how to select the educational setting for their child.

Once you have completed your application, you will be redirected to your Odyssey dashboard, where you will see your latest application status. Regardless of status, you will be able to select your child's educational setting.
If you're a returning student, you can access the dashboard for each program year using the program year filter at the top of the page. To update the educational setting for either the 2025–2026 or 2026–2027 program year, select the desired program year from the filter and follow the steps below.
Selecting an educational setting in your Dashboard:
- Find the student whose educational setting you want to select.
- Click the [Select School] button in their profile.
- If you've already selected an educational setting, but want to change it, please click [Change School].
- Please note, you will see the [Select School] or [Change School] option under all the eligible students you applied for.
- If you've already selected an educational setting, but want to change it, please click [Change School].
- Search for the educational setting in the dropdown by scrolling until you find it or typing the name.
- Select the educational setting.
- Review the attestations carefully and, once done, check the box next to each.
- If you select Home-based Education, you will be asked to review the attestations and select the assessment your student intends to take for the program year.
- Please note: You may edit the assessment at a later date. If an immediate change is needed, you can re-select Home-based Education and select the correct assessment.
- Click [Confirm Selection].

Selecting an educational setting in your Student Profile:
- Click on the [Student Profiles] tab on the sidebar.
- Click on the student whose educational setting you want to select.
- Once in their profile, click on the [Select School] button.
- If you've already selected an educational setting, but want to change it, please click [Change School].
- Please note, you will see the [Select School] or [Change School] option under all the eligible students you applied for.
- If you've already selected an educational setting, but want to change it, please click [Change School].
- Search for the educational setting in the dropdown by scrolling until you find it or typing the name.
- Select the educational setting.

Next Steps:
If you selected a BESE-approved nonpublic school, the school will review your enrollment request. Once your enrollment is confirmed, the school will enter the 2026–2027 annual tuition and fees amount for your student. This amount will appear in your Odyssey Dashboard for you to review and confirm.
Confirming Tuition and Fees:
- Click [Confirm Tuition].
- Review the tuition and fees amount set by the school.
- If the amount is correct, click Confirm.
- If the amount is incorrect, click Deny. This will prompt the school to set the tuition and fees amount again.
If you confirm the tuition and fees amount, it will be visible in your Student's Profile.
Please note: Confirming the tuition and fees amount does not initiate a payment. Payment is handled through a separate process.
